Have old-fashioned fun here in the cozy den of Gilsland Farm while adults enjoy an early evening out on the town. We'll make our own pizza and stay busy with nature games, crafts and activities, and some safe and fun outdoor nighttime exploration. Children may come in outdoor-friendly pajamas.

Falmouth Education Foundation Fundraiser

Falmouth Education Foundation –Fall Auction, October 21st


Over the last 16 years, the Falmouth Education Foundation has raised $810,000 to support academics, athletics, and arts for the children of Falmouth. Each fall, FEF holds their largest fundraising event to raise funds to support this mission.
 
This year’s event will take place on Friday October 21st at 6pm at the Woodlands Country Club.

Book Discussion Group

The Falmouth Memorial Library sponsors a book discussion group that meets the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 1:00 - 2:30 pm.

These are informal discussions. You need not attend all meetings.

Falmouth Maine Fall leaf collection schedule

The Town of Falmouth is having its annual Fall leaf bag collection program.


Collection dates for the bags are as follows:



Friday, October 28th

Friday, November 4th

Friday, November 11th

Friday, November 18th



!! Be sure to place bags out at curb by 7:00 a.m.!!



Leaf bags are available in quantities of 15 per Falmouth resident (while supplies last),

and can be obtained at the Parks & Public Works Building, 101 Woods Road.



*Leaf bags are for leaves only. Please do not put brush in the leaf bags.*



REMINDER: THE TOWN OF FALMOUTH NO LONGER DOES A SPRING OR FALL BRUSH COLLECTION.

HOWEVER, BRUSH IS ACCEPTED AT THE TRANSFER STATION.

Transfer Station hours are: Tuesday and Thursday 12:00 pm-4:00 pm,

Friday 7:00 am-5:00 pm, Saturday 9:00 am-5:00 pm.

LunchBox Friends Program at the Falmouth Library

Bring a sandwich. Friends will supply beverages & desserts. Free and open to the public. Books will be available for sale & signing whenever possible.

PACE Home Energy Loan Forum. Learn how you, the homeowner, can finance and move ahead on energy-saving projects for your home using Efficiency Maine’s new low-interest loan program.
 
The program will be held in Town Council Chambers, Falmouth Town Hall, 271 Falmouth Rd., on Wed. Oct 5th from 7:00 to 8:30 PM.
 
Open to all greater Portland residents. Homeowners and community leaders are encouraged to attend. The event is hosted by the Falmouth Recycling and Energy Advisory Committee, the Town of Falmouth, and Maine Partners for Cool Communities. (REAC@town.falmouth.me.us)
