Maine State Ballet's School Classes

The Maine State Ballet's School for the Performing Arts offers instruction in ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theater to over 500 students from age 3 through advanced adult. The dance curriculum includes classical ballet training in the Balanchine style® as well as Broadway style tap and jazz. Advanced ballet students are invited to join the Maine State Ballet Company.

Adaptive movement classes are available for children with Down syndrome. Adult programs currently include ballet, tap, Pilates, Zumba and ballroom.


The school year runs from September through May with classes scheduled Monday - Saturday. With the exception of the three year olds, adult ballet, zumba and adaptive movement, students participate in an end of the year recital.

The Falmouth Heritage Museum - Win a Family Membership!

Are you interested in Nursing and what it was like in the days gone by? During July the Falmouth Heritage Museum will have a display of nursing memorabilia including clothing, invalid feeders, bed pans and many other items used by the nurses of old. Do you know what it was like to ‘attend’ a mail order school of nursing?

And identify the month's WHAT IS IT? One winner will be drawn from all the correct answers and receive a Family Membership to the Falmouth Historical Society.

Win a family membership to the Falmouth Historical Society. Come to the Museum and correctly identify that month's "What is it?" object. One winner drawn each month from correct entries.

The Museum will be open from 10 am to 3 pm on July 30.
The Museum is located at 60 Woods Road in Falmouth.

Can I recycle curbside with a different container? Yes, as long as the container is small and manageable enough to lift. You can also differentiate your recycling container from your trash by getting a free sticker from the Town (while supplies last).
