Falmouth Maine construction updates

Lane Construction, the general contractor for the bridge repair contract, is planning to have the Mountain Road bridge open this weekend. They are planning to close the Leighton road bridge late Tuesday morning September 4. There are variable message boards in place on Leighton Road near the bridge, warning drivers of the Leighton Road bridge closure date.

The electrical company will make adjustments to the Leighton/Rt 100 and the Mountain/Rt 100 intersection traffic signals.

In other news, the Exit 53 interchange project is on schedule to be completed this fall.

Falmouth... in 10 years! Feedback Request

The Long Range Plan Advisory committee has been working on creating an updated Comprehensive Plan for Falmouth as it could be 10 years from now. We have collected facts, community survey input, and general ideas to frame our recommendations.

The final Comprehensive Plan will include more than a dozen chapters, each covering a different topic. Once again, we would appreciate your thoughts and opinions of a draft Comprehensive Plan.

The draft Plan has been set up along with a very brief survey accompanying each chapter. Please select one or all chapters to read and review: http://www.town.falmouth.me.us/Pages/FalmouthME_BComm/LPAC/DraftChapters

We highly recommend that you first read the draft chapter(s) of your choice, before answering the corresponding survey questions.

Your feedback will help us finalize this plan, so it can be recommended to the Town Council. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We hope this plan will serve you and the Falmouth community well.

Please click here for the chapters/surveys: http://www.town.falmouth.me.us/Pages/FalmouthME_BComm/LPAC/DraftChapters

Deadline for feedback is Monday October 15, 2012.
