6:30 AM - 7:00 AM CLAM CLASSIC!


Yarmouth Clam Festival Canoe & Kayak Race

The race starts at Yarmouth Town Landing and goes down river, around Lanes Island, and up Cousins River to finish at the Muddy Rudder (approx. 6 miles).

7:00 AM - 10:30 AM Blueberry Pancake Breakfast at Memorial Green.

Breakfast includes 2 golden pancakes, plain or blueberry, topped with real Cabot butter and maple syrup, a sausage patty, and your choice of two beverages (choose from juice, coffee, and milk) ($8).

Don't like pancakes? Order a breakfast sandwich ($3)!

Clam Festival Kids' Fun Run - For children 3-12.  Starts and ends on Main Street at Memorial Green.

Streets Closed - The following streets will be closed from 6:30 to 9 AM for the Fun Run and the Pat's Pizza 5-Mile Classic:

10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Trolley Tour of Historic Yarmouth The Yarmouth Historical Society offers an hour-long narrated tour of our historic town on "Trina" the trolley.

10:30 AM - 12:30 PM Horse & Wagon Rides

Enjoy a free, gentle ride along Main Street in a Belgian-horse-drawn wagon owned by Dwayne and Becky Durgin of Meadow Creek Farm in Sumner.
Departing from Railroad (Village Green) Park or at the intersection of Main and Portland Streets.

11:00 AM - 12:30 PM Port City Jazz at NYA. This dynamic septet plays standards from the Great American Songbook, a mix of music that will keep your feet tapping and make you want to dance. Learn more about the band at the Port City Jazz website.

Maine State Clam Shucking Contest on the Library Lawn.

Come, watch — and compete! Prizes go to the fastest shuckers in professional, amateur, and college heats (college shuckers, remember to wear your school's colors)!

A "celebrity" heat sets the competitive edge, pitting teams of southern Maine's news, sports, and weather broadcasters against each other. These arch rival shuckers return every year to defend and reclaim their status as fastest clamcasters in the east, west, north, and south.
