WILD BIRD FEEDING 101
On Wednesday, February 13 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Gilsland Farm at the Maine Audubon there will be a Free discussion of the common bird species that visit Maine feeders in winter. There will be discussion about the habits and habitats for keeping song birds in your yard year-round. The talk will cover seed mixes and various feeders to accommodate the different mixes. There will also be a short bird ID session.
Jason Harris is a sales manager with Kent Nutrition Group, the parent company of Blue Seal Feeds. He has introduced wild birdwatching and feeding enjoyment to customers for eleven years. Jason grew up on a working diary and vegetable farm in southern Maine and learned the habits and habitats of many wild birds as they nested in fields and delighted in seed heads of various grasses and grains.
