February School Vacation Day Camps

Gilsland Farm Day Camps

Who says your kids have to wait for summer to go to camp? During winter and spring school-vacation weeks, children are divided into appropriate age groups to connect with nature through cooperative group activities, individual nature exploration, hikes, creative arts, and nature games in Gilsland Farm’s 65-acres of forests, meadows, and marsh. Children grades 1-5 may sign up for individual days or attend the entire week.

Tuesday, February 16: Beneath Our Feet
Discover what wild animals are hiding beneath our feet in the winter, and learn about their unique ways of surviving.

Wednesday, February 17: Snow Detectives
Explore our sanctuary for tracks and signs in the snow, and solve other mysteries of wildlife as a snow detective.

Thursday, February 18: Winter Puzzles
Are those trees and wild animals alive? Figure out these and many more winter nature puzzles.
Friday, February 19: Animals of the Night
Who is active at night? Join us in seeing live nocturnal animals, including bats. Go on a scavenger hunt to discover their habitats and winter homes, and create your own bat.

Limited to 21 campers per day. For more information call (207) 781-2330 (207) 781-2330, ext. 209.
