JUNE AT THE MAINE AUDUBON AT GILSLAND FARM

On Tuesday, June 12 from 8 to 10:30 a.m. enjoy the wildflowers. As the summer unfolds, the wildflowers change with the season. You will walk the Gilsland Farm property in sear of our local flora. This program will focus on using "Newcomb's Wildflower Guide to identify flowers. "Newcomb's" is based on easy-to-recognize plant features that makes identification easy. If you own this book please bring it with you (other field guides are welcome too.)
On Wednesday, June 13 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. join in the celebration of the Peony Circle of Friends; over 1600 committed members, donors, and volunteers who have supported Maine Audubon for more than 20 years. Stroll among the peonies and enjoy hand-crafted ice cream donated by Toots Ice Cream in North Yarmouth. There will be music by Flight 317, craft book author Heidi Boyd - who will be on hand to help visitors create their own Peony Pixies - and a drawing for peony plants from Gilsland Farm's renowned garden.
