Maine Marathon – Traffic Delays
On Sunday morning, September 30th 4,000 plus runners will be participating in the Maine Marathon in Falmouth. The runners will begin arriving in Falmouth at approximately 8 am as they cross Martin’s Point Bridge and travel north along Route 1 to Route 88 where they will continue into Cumberland and Yarmouth eventually returning to Falmouth. The runners will then travel south along Route 88 and cross over Route 1 and continue into Portland.
Motorists should seek alternative routes during this time to avoid delays. Route 88 will be closed to all traffic other than local residents and businesses from 8 am until noon.
